Do you run a business overseas or would you like to be able to expand business overseas? Until now the only way to do so was by either using a translator or paying one to translate documents written back and forth between parties.

Back in May Microsoft and Skype released that they have been building new translator service that offers near real time translations within Skype. The new service is being designed to work in over 40 languages and was slated to be released sometime this year. That time is now. Microsoft just released their first public preview of the service and it works really well. Currently however the services was released with just Spanish/English translation in this initial phase. Skype released a video of their new service in action, basically when one of the parties says something Skype translates what they said in text a few seconds later. This service is a huge step into the future and once perfected would make an excellent tool for businesses to use to help expand and make themselves available to clients overseas.
